Christmas in Ice

Our favorite North Pole event of the year is the Christmas in Ice.  It has an ice sculpting competition but also a kids' ice park which is the best part.  Slides, spinners, a maze, and more slides!

Slides!

 Spinners!

The Maze!

and More Slides!

Jenny with Kyle and Chris with Grace getting ready to go down the big one!

Kyle didn't like the snow spraying in his face.

Grace rode it again but she chose to cover her face from the snow spray.

My parents even gave it a try!

One of the signs at the park seemed made for Jenny!

The  ice park was next door to the Santa Claus House and this being the day after Christmas, we stopped in to give Santa a thank you drawing Grace prepared.

Here's Grace at Benny's Grill (where we went for dinner afterward) helping the manager fold napkins.  She saw one of the servers doing it and couldn't resist joining in!  So the manager came over to show her how and she ended up folding at least 25!  My girl is a go getter!

You're definitely not going to get that in Texas next year! Looks amazing, tho. Wish we could've been there.
Also, I love the pic at the top of your blog. Incredible pic. Nice one, Chris!

Fun! Will you miss all that snow and ice when your days at the North Pole come to an end?

BTW, Ava has an assistant ballet instructor who reminds me SO MUCH of you. She's 16 and looks just like you at that age. So once a week I think of you!
